November/December – Best Time of Year

These are the days we’ve been waiting for! That beautiful window of time between the rain ending and the wind starting, November and December. This is a typical day at Brummell Island, one of our favorite day charter spots during these months. 

As noted on our weather page… The weather starts to dry out making for some vibrant colors between the Sun, Sea and Green landscape.

The winds start switching back and forth between SW Onshore and some light NE Papagayos. Still some rainy afternoons until mid-November and Thanksgiving.

Our Springtime (coming out of winter) is November and December and in my opinion, the nicest season out of the year here.

Light offshore breezes, Sunny Skies , Green and so fresh coming off of a nice couple of months cleaning, not to mention beautiful water conditions.

Captain Mark arrived in Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica in 1989 and was the first to start the sailing charter business in the area. Born in Seal Beach, California. Mark grew up sailing on the Southern California coast. Leaving at age 20 to sail and explore the world, he did just that becoming a yacht delivery captain.

After over 80,000 nautical blue water miles he sailed his own yacht “Surfari” a 42′ sloop with only his dog Gilligan to accompany him to Costa Rica.
